PayPal Phishing Attempt

This post is for people out there who are way more trusting than I am. If you get an email supposedly from PayPal with the subject "Your account has been limited and will be suspended," DON'T believe it and DON'T follow the instructions in it.

It is a phishing attempt to get your PayPal information so someone else can take money from your account.
Instead, forward the email to spoof@PayPal.com to let PayPal know about it. I got one today, sent it to PayPal, and already got an email back from them saying PayPal did not send it.

If it's too late and you already did what the email said, keep a close eye on your PayPal account and contact PayPal about any unauthorized activity.

This is my PSA for today, probably even for the year.

  1. Thank you for sharing this information! I'm a new user or limited user over the years and wasn't aware of this problem. Have a wonderful day!

  2. What is WRONG with people???

I've received several of these emails. When are they going to learn that people will be even less likely to fall for these schemes when their emails are filled with spelling and gramatical errors?

  3. This one looked very legit, with no bad English. They are just flat-out sociopaths who justify everything in terms of what they need and don't care about other people.
